Reviews:
* If you're looking for a compact SUV with the ability to transport more than five passengers, venture off-road and offer a long list of cutting-edge audio and safety technology options, the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander is worth considering. Mitsubishi's 10-year/100,000-mile warranty should help seal the deal. Source: KBB.com
* Above-average fuel economy; attractive, high-quality interior; available frontal impact warning/mitigation system. Source: Edmunds
* The Mitsubishi Outlander, with a tough upper front grille in a new lightweight, aerodynamic frame, the SUV outpaces the rest with style that endures. The new look reduces aerodynamic drag by seven percent, helping improve fuel economy. Gas mileage ranges from an EPA estimated 20 MPG city to 31 MPG highway depending on your engine type and whether you choose the ES or SE trims with Front-Wheel Drive or the SE or GT with Super All-Wheel Control. The comfy three-row interior has room for seven passengers. The second and third rows fold flat, giving you plenty of room for all your gear. The second row also reclines, giving your passengers a relaxed ride. New interior touches, such as a soft-touch instrument panel and wood grain trim, provide a more luxurious experience. The Outlander comes in four trims: the entry-level ES, the SE, the SE with Super All-Wheel Control, and the high-end GT, also with Super All-Wheel Control. Blast your favorite tunes with the 710-watt Rockford Fosgate stereo with 10-inch subwoofer, available on both SE models and the GT. You can choose between a powerful 224-hp, 3.0-liter V-6 engine that uses premium gasoline with the GT, or a 166-hp, 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that uses regular unleaded with the ES and SE trims. Available optional convenience features include USB input for your mobile devices, heated front seats, rear backup camera, and navigation system. For the ultimate in safety, select the Touring Package, which offers features such as: lane departure warning, forward-collision mitigation, and adaptive cruise control. The Touring Package is available on the SE and GT models. Source: The Manufacturer Summary

  • Fun to drive and gets great gas mileage!

I love my Outlander GT! Bought it used in 2017 and it's the perfect size. Fits my kids' friends in the 3rd row when needed for quick trips (not comfortably), but we knew that we weren't going to use the 3rd row on a daily basis when buying it. It's handy to have those extra seats though. It has great pick up, is fun to drive and easy to park. Amazing gas mileage! Easily gets over 30mpg on long distance trips. Handles well in Colorado winters too. My only complaint is that the suspension is very stiff and you feel every bump! Overall the outlander is a great value and reliable!

I have owned this car for 13 months. I am kind of particular. But my needs are relatively basic. I like the style of the vehicle interior. The exterior is OK. I have owned Hondas and Kias prior to this. I feel like the quality and ride are on par with those. A couple of things I do not like about the car...the locks are weird. I am used to all doors automatically locking when you put the car in drive. And unlocking when you turn the car off. This one is the opposite. Very annoying. You have to remember to lock the car doors when you’re inside driving. Also I locked my son in the car a couple of times accidentally , when I got out I thought he could get out but his door was still locked. He tried to get out and set the alarm off. Another thing is the sun visors really need to be adjustable. Like the ones that slide out so you can move them depending on where the sun is. Overall, I like it.

I purchased a 2015 Golf SEL TDI a year ago and just traded it for a PHEV GT.I had been looking at this car since before it was available here in the US and I finally found the one with options I was looking for. I live in NYC and on the first tank fill up I got an average of 43 MPH,there are not many cars in the US that give you 40 mph, so to get an suv AWD that gives you that kind of mileage is amazing.I am even getting a higher mph on my second tank due to more electric driving. Mitsubishi claims a 22 mile battery range on battery, but I actually got 28 miles driving from NYC to upstate.I believe they are being very conservative on their ratings. I find this car to be very high tech where it counts, such as the electric drive , AWD and options such as brake hold, the different running modes and options such as adaptive cruise control, brake warning, and lake keeping assist and then it is very manual in the sense that you can turn the functions off just by pressing buttons. I really like that the back seat reclines and to fold it flat you don't even have to remove the head rest, it just folds flat.you also have some nice storage underneath the back floor. I bought this car to keep for many years and so far I don't see any reason why not to.
